GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Superintending Archaeologist, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall furnish Form VIII to the Director of Tourism within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall make an application in Form VIII to the Director of Tourism within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ropeway is undertaken, and the Director of Tourism shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
