ORDER

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Guard, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall furnish Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a distillery is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
