GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall furnish Form 12 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of allotted surplus land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of West Bengal.
