GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Commissioner of Excise, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall furnish Form E to the Government of Punjab within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Punjab within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises is undertaken, and the Government of Punjab shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Punjab.
