GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Panchayat Development Officer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall furnish Form 7 to the Gram Sabha within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 7 to the Gram Sabha within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a village tank is undertaken, and the Gram Sabha shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Kerala.
