GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The placement of children in adoption by specialised adoption agencies under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Development Project Officer, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every specialised adoption agency carrying on the placement of children in adoption shall furnish Form VI to the Local Complaints Committee within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every specialised adoption agency carrying on the placement of children in adoption shall make an application in Form VI to the Local Complaints Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children in adoption is undertaken, and the Local Complaints Committee shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
