GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Building Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall furnish Form C to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form C to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of solid waste is undertaken, and the Director of Municipal Administration shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
