GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sale of goods by auction by auctioneers under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector of Chits, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every auctioneer carrying on the sale of goods by auction shall furnish Form B to the Registrar of Firms within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every auctioneer carrying on the sale of goods by auction shall make an application in Form B to the Registrar of Firms within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of goods by auction is undertaken, and the Registrar of Firms shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
