GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall furnish Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
