GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Tahsildar, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall furnish Form 7 to the Settlement Officer within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 7 to the Settlement Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Puducherry.
