GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Officer, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall furnish Form 1 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of allotted surplus land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Punjab.
