New Delhi, dated the 26th July, 2018

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of excisable articles by persons in possession under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall furnish Form E to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession carrying on the possession of excisable articles shall make an application in Form E to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
