GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall furnish Form 5 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a well on Government land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
