GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Tahsildar, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall furnish Form 5 to the State Government within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
