GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The maintenance of records by record officers under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Grievance Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every record officer carrying on the maintenance of records shall furnish Form A to the Competent Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every record officer carrying on the maintenance of records shall make an application in Form A to the Competent Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of records is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
