GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Village Development Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall furnish Form 8 to the Block Development Officer within fourteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 8 to the Block Development Officer within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
