GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Naib Tahsildar, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall furnish Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Puducherry.
