GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Village Accountant, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall furnish Form 5 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of allotted surplus land is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of West Bengal.
