GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Forest Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of forest produce carrying on the transit of forest produce shall furnish Form VIII to the Environmental Appellate Authority within one hundred and twenty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of forest produce carrying on the transit of forest produce shall make an application in Form VIII to the Environmental Appellate Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transit of forest produce is undertaken, and the Environmental Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Karnataka.
