Chennai, dated the 2nd March, 2017

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a dharamshala by keepers of a dharamshala under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Registrar of Societies, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall furnish Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a dharamshala carrying on the keeping of a dharamshala shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a dharamshala is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
