GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Superintending Engineer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall furnish Form C to the Dam Safety Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall make an application in Form C to the Dam Safety Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a dam is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
