GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall furnish Form B to the Excise Commissioner within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form B to the Excise Commissioner within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the retail vend of liquor is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of West Bengal.
