GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The recruitment of seafarers by recruitments and placement agency for seafarers under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Port Officer, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every recruitment and placement agency for seafarers carrying on the recruitment of seafarers shall furnish Form 3 to the Conservator of the Port within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every recruitment and placement agency for seafarers carrying on the recruitment of seafarers shall make an application in Form 3 to the Conservator of the Port within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the recruitment of seafarers is undertaken, and the Conservator of the Port shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Gujarat.
