GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The guiding of tourists by tourist guides under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Director General, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tourist guide carrying on the guiding of tourists shall furnish Form VIII to the Authority within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every tourist guide carrying on the guiding of tourists shall make an application in Form VIII to the Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the guiding of tourists is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
