GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Naib Tahsildar, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall furnish Form 1 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 1 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
