GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Naib Tahsildar, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall furnish Form 8 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 8 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Punjab.
