GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The business of hire-purchase by hire-purchase financiers under the Karnataka Money Lenders Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every hire-purchase financier carrying on the business of hire-purchase shall furnish Form A to the Director of Industries within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hire-purchase financier carrying on the business of hire-purchase shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Industries within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of hire-purchase is undertaken, and the Director of Industries shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
