GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Inspector, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall furnish Form C to the Excise Commissioner within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form C to the Excise Commissioner within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
