GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The manufacture of electricity meters by meter manufacturers under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every meter manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of electricity meters shall furnish Form VII to the Appropriate Commission within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every meter manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of electricity meters shall make an application in Form VII to the Appropriate Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of electricity meters is undertaken, and the Appropriate Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Gujarat.
