GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The conduct of tours by tour operators under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Superintending Archaeologist, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall furnish Form VIII to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall make an application in Form VIII to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of tours is undertaken, and the Heritage Committee shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
