GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Tahsildar, the Government of Goa, after careful examination, hereby orders that every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall furnish Form 8 to the Tahsildar within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 8 to the Tahsildar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Goa.
