GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The drawing of water from a river by riparian owners under the Karnataka Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Act, 2011, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Irrigation Inspector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every riparian owner carrying on the drawing of water from a river shall furnish Form G to the River Basin Authority within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every riparian owner carrying on the drawing of water from a river shall make an application in Form G to the River Basin Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the drawing of water from a river is undertaken, and the River Basin Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.
