GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Panchayat Development Officer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall furnish Form 7 to the Director of Panchayats within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall make an application in Form 7 to the Director of Panchayats within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the construction of a building in a village is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of West Bengal.
