GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall furnish Form 8 to the State Government within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 8 to the State Government within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of allotted surplus land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Punjab.
