GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The salvage of vessels by salvors under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Shipping Master, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every salvor carrying on the salvage of vessels shall furnish Form 7 to the Mercantile Marine Department within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every salvor carrying on the salvage of vessels shall make an application in Form 7 to the Mercantile Marine Department within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the salvage of vessels is undertaken, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
