GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Tahsildar, the Government of Odisha, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall furnish Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Odisha.
