GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the District Sports Officer, the Government of Goa, after careful examination, hereby orders that every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall furnish Form D to the National Sports Board within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall make an application in Form D to the National Sports Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sponsoring of a competition is undertaken, and the National Sports Board shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Goa.
