GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Surveyor, the Government of Bihar, after careful examination, hereby orders that every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall furnish Form 1 to the Settlement Officer within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 1 to the Settlement Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Bihar.
