GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The running of a private hostel by operators of a hostel for tenants under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Housing Commissioner, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall furnish Form G to the Rent Controller within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hostel for tenants carrying on the running of a private hostel shall make an application in Form G to the Rent Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a private hostel is undertaken, and the Rent Controller shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
