GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Survey Commissioner, the Government of Odisha, after careful examination, hereby orders that every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall furnish Form G to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and eighty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form G to the Commissioner of Endowments within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the performance of rituals in a temple is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Endowments shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
