GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services by direct-to-home operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Regional Officer of the Board, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every direct-to-home operator carrying on the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services shall furnish Form VIII to the Appellate Tribunal within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every direct-to-home operator carrying on the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services shall make an application in Form VIII to the Appellate Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services is undertaken, and the Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
