GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Waqf Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall furnish Form E to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form E to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the performance of rituals in a temple is undertaken, and the Commissioner of Endowments shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
