GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The solemnisation of marriages by Marriage Officers under the Maharashtra Regulation of Marriage Bureaus and Registration of Marriages Act, 1998, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall furnish Form VII to the Family Court within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every Marriage Officer carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall make an application in Form VII to the Family Court within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the solemnisation of marriages is undertaken, and the Family Court shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
