GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The working of a port by port authorities under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Harbour Master, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every port authority carrying on the working of a port shall furnish Form 2 to the Mercantile Marine Department within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every port authority carrying on the working of a port shall make an application in Form 2 to the Mercantile Marine Department within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a port is undertaken, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
