Chennai, dated the 8th January, 2011

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The receipt of wages in a covered establishment by employees under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Regional Director, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every employee carrying on the receipt of wages in a covered establishment shall furnish Form 2 to the Employees' Insurance Court within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employee carrying on the receipt of wages in a covered establishment shall make an application in Form 2 to the Employees' Insurance Court within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt of wages in a covered establishment is undertaken, and the Employees' Insurance Court shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
