Chennai, dated the 24th November, 2010

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a creche by creches under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every creche carrying on the running of a creche shall furnish Form VI to the District Child Protection Unit within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every creche carrying on the running of a creche shall make an application in Form VI to the District Child Protection Unit within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a creche is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
