GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The holding of foreign exchange by persons resident in India under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Authorised Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person resident in India carrying on the holding of foreign exchange shall furnish Form SEZ-1 to the Export Promotion Council within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person resident in India carrying on the holding of foreign exchange shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Export Promotion Council within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of foreign exchange is undertaken, and the Export Promotion Council shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
