Chandigarh, dated the 19th October, 2010

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Village Accountant, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall furnish Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a well on Government land is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Punjab.
