Chennai, dated the 24th September, 2010

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The management of the property of a minor by guardians appointed by the court under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every guardian appointed by the court carrying on the management of the property of a minor shall furnish Form IV to the Registrar General within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every guardian appointed by the court carrying on the management of the property of a minor shall make an application in Form IV to the Registrar General within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of the property of a minor is undertaken, and the Registrar General shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
