Puducherry, dated the 15th July, 2010

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Officer, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall furnish Form 1 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 1 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Land Tribunal shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Puducherry.
